Remember the Alamo – Photo #7

Remember the Alamo

Each year in late November, early December, for our anniversary, Cathy and I try to go on a trip.

One year we were able to put the Southwest and Marriott points together and go to San Antonio, Texas.  I like to say I have an interest in History, but it is probably more of an interest in historical sites.  As most visitors know, it is a very small facility and in the end, the soldiers were overwhelmed by Santa Anna’s Mexican army.  All were lost in this battle during the Texas Revolution- an heroic struggle against impossible odds.

It is a beautiful place in the middle of the San Antonio business district.

One night around dusk we dropped by the Alamo and since the fort was closed the foot traffic in the area was just about non-existent,  I was able to capture this image with the deep blue sky and texture of the face of the fort.

About Jerry Harrison's Photo blog

Just sharing images I've taken that I think are worth sharing, and a little of the story behind them. What is a photo worth if you don't know why it was taken.
